Back to School

Am I excited? Not at all. For some reason I am not fond of attention from new students nor feel like meeting any new people. I find no point in it since I am already leaving in less than a year. Overall I really just like some quiet time to focus on what my objective is and that is college research. What I am excited about is to introduce our MUN club and helping out Mr.Buscher advertise this growing establishment. I hope that those who does not want to be in this club leave and those who do actually want to be in here join in. I hope that we can gather new people but to be quite honest I think I will have a difficult time finding someone with English skills that are up to par.

Zoo

I went to the zoo yesterday. Yes I did, don't judge, I wanted to relive my childhood. Of course, I brought some friends with me and no we didn't dress up as kindergarteners. It was somewhat disappointing because all the animals we really wanted to see were either hidden or hard to spot. Like the lions found the sun to be way too hot and thus had to hide under rocks, which made it difficult to take a picture. My friends and I couldn't stop laughing at the Jackass Penguins, and since no one around spoke English, they couldn't understand what we were laughing at. I'm disappointed that they closed the Nocturnal House (which had owls and bats) which is my favorite place to be.

Taiwan: Savages or Not?

Again and again, I see posts and videos of strikes and violence within the legislature of Taiwan. It seems to me that Taiwanese people can't move on from the type of barbarism. When you protest, at least take it outside rather than walking into this important building and making it look like a shipwreck. Is this how they want the world to see them? As a second world country where people just scream and shout and throw things at people for the most trivial things? It seems to me that our own people don't have filters in their brains and they just act on their impulses. Even of godforsaken news can't be international. No wonder our people are so behind on world issues. I do not watch the news for how a celebrity "farts" or how hot a certain celebrity's "tongue" is. I really need to let Taiwan know that we should start being a little more civil.

Blog Post 1

Me, and well, a few other students often wonder what goes on in Mr.Jones' mind whenever he is not focusing on personal issues. Is he calculating some sort of new equation? Is he hypothesizing on a certain theory? Or is he thinking about the everyday retardation of his students? What is brilliant about Mr.Jones is his never ending passion to learn more and his never ending passion to learn from teaching. His character is unbelievable, I must say, he must've copied it from a book or something because it must've been written down by an author. He is so knowledgeable, yet, looking at him, he is by far one of the most humble and unpretentious teacher I have met. I mean, knowing all these things, how is it possible to be haughty? You know what. Must be some sort of black magic. It's a shame that when I go to college, I won't be able to carry a Mr.Jones with me.
